Spirited Travel Attractions in New York

Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to New York next week will most certainly mean travel in the city limits will be even more horrendous than usual. In addition to the massive security detail that comes with escorting one of the most influential men in the world, city leaders are preparing for the millions of loyal Catholics who are traveling to the Big Apple to see the spiritual leader in person. If you are one of the brave souls descending upon the concrete jungle to catch a glimpse of the Pope I applaud you. I should also inform you that city leaders … Continue reading

Travel in the Pope’s Footsteps–Washington D.C.

In just a few days Pope Benedict XVI will begin a historic tour of Washington, D.C. and New York. Hotels Get Creative to Lure Guests

Where do they come up with this stuff? It seems every time I log on to my computer another hotel chain is emailing me about a “new and exciting” travel package they have cleverly tied into some sort of event (a movie premiere, the Pope’s visit, the mailing of tax refund checks) or special occasion (Mother’s Day, Arbor Day, National Train Day). So I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to hear that a hotel in New York City has cooked up a creative way to offset the slew of “Sex and the City” movie premiere hotel packages that are currently … Continue reading
