More Ways to Save in Hawaiiby Michele Cheplic | More from this Blogger 20 Jul 2008 06:02 PM Now that you know how to save money on your flight to Hawaii, here are some deals that you can snag once you arrive in the Aloha State: If you have always dreamed of visiting the Hawaiian Island of Maui consider taking advantage of the Kapalua Villas' "staycation." The package deal is priced at $999 for two adults and includes the following: Roundtrip travel from Honolulu to Maui onboard Hawaii's new Superferry (you'll get passage for two adults and one vehicle), 2-nights accommodations at the Kapalua Villas, plus a complimentary choice of activity for each guest--choose from a golf lesson at Kapalua Golf Academy's 23-acre practice area designed by PGA Touring Professional, Hale Irwin or a reduced rate on play (you can play on the Bay Course for $88 per round, per person or the Plantation Course for $98 per round, per person, with complimentary Titleist rental clubs for men and Cobra rental clubs for women); a pass to Kapalua Adventures Lower Mountain Loop Zipline center where you will soar above valleys and a "secret" waterfall with views of the Kapalua coastline and Molokai; or a private in-villa spa treatment. In addition, you will also receive a $30 store credit at the renovated Honolua store. If you are traveling to Maui with children in the next couple of weeks consider heading to the Maui Ocean Center. The popular attraction is hosting a Shark Encounter, where activities including special daily presentations, children's activities and a sleepover, are geared toward educating aquarium guests about sharks and their role in the ocean ecosystem and Hawaiian culture. From now until the end of July shark-related activities will be included with aquarium admission ($24 for adults, $21 for age 65 and older, and $17 for children 3 to 12) with the exception of the sleepover. Price for the "Sensational Sharks" sleepover is $60 per child and includes kid-friendly workshops and the chance to feed hammerhead sharks, touch fossilized shark teeth, make shark crafts, watch educational shark movies, among other activities.
