I know. I know. It's not even Mother's Day yet and I'm already planning for Memorial Day. Well, if you are organizing a family vacation that includes more than just a couple of adults, then you know how critical it is to plan as far in advance as possible AND, perhaps, more importantly, you realize the benefits of taking advantage of travel deals.

Here are a few I have my eyes on:

A Rocking Good Time In New York

If your family is looking for a fun place to have an early summer fling then you should consider heading to the Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, just 90 minutes north of New York City. Its website promises, "the most fun your family ever had!" If your idea of fun is saving money then you'll want to take advantage of this Memorial Day deal. The resort is celebrating its 50th year with a three-night special (May 25-May 28) that starts at $540 per person in a standard double. The rate is based on two adults sharing a room and covers lodging, all meals, use of all facilities, a day camp program, and evening entertainment.

Washington, D.C. On The Cheap

You can't get more patriotic than spending Memorial Day in our nation's capital. Hotels.com is currently offering an incredible deal at Hotel Washington (the deal is valid for bookings through May 26 and stays through June 2). The historic hotel opened in 1918 and carries the distinction of being the longest continually operating hotel in the city. Guests are treated to extraordinary views of the city (including the White House and downtown monuments), especially from the Sky Terrace, located on the 12th and top floor of the hotel. Room rates usually run about $215 but Hotels.com's Memorial Day special is offering rooms for just $152 per night.

Memorial Day R&R Spa Package

If the thought of dealing with a house full of kids on summer break is stressing you out, Aqua Hotels & Resorts has just the remedy.

The resort's Hawaii properties are offering a "Spring into Spa" special, where you receive a free one-hour AquaSPA treatment for every night you spend through June 30th.

Here are a few of the participating hotels offering the spa deals:

· Aqua Continental: $115 a night.

· Aqua Coconut Plaza: $135 a night.

· Aqua Marina and Aqua Aloha Surf: $187 a night.

· Aqua Island Colony and Aqua Bamboo & Spa: $195 a night.

· Ocean Tower Hotel and Aqua Palms & Spa: $220 a night.
