When people consider getting away for a while most think of exotic locations or ones that provide high entertainment value so their kids won't complain of being bored. Others are more concerned with price and choose their vacation destinations based on how far they can stretch their dollar.

It's not everyday that you can find a place that meets all those needs. But, that's exactly what tour operators are touting the state of Maine as: "A reason for all seasons." New England's largest state is home to spectacular sights and amazing attractions. And hotels there are now offering equally incredible off-season deals. If you have never explored the coast of this wondrous state now is the time to do so.

Take a look at these fabulous money saving travel packages and see why:

BATH

For just $290 per person you will be treated to two nights at the eclectic, five-room Kismet Inn, daily breakfast, a yoga session, a two-hour cooking class, and one dinner and tea. During the cooking class you will learn how to prepare local favorites including lentil rice and blueberry crumble. The inn is located just a block from downtown Bath and overlooks Library Park and the Spirit of the Sea fountain. You are also within walking distance to a variety of boutiques and antique stores. The inn also offers spa services; knitting and quilting classes; and a traditional samovar tea service. The offer expires on May 26, 2008.

BELFAST

The Londonderry Inn in Belfast is offering a deal that is hard to beat. For $95 per night you will get a charming room in the restored farmhouse built in 1803. The price also includes a farm-style, three-course breakfast and an evening dessert. The starting rate is available for accommodations on the second floor in the Northport Room, which looks out over the backyard gardens. Each bedroom is air-conditioned and features a private bath, a shower, two terrycloth bathrobes, cable TV, a VCR, and a mini fridge.

BOOTHBAY HARBOR

The Ocean Gate Resort is offering a number of deals for travelers looking to relax along Southport Island's shores. For $99 per night you will get a night in a deluxe room and a buffet breakfast with a morning newspaper. If you stay three nights, you'll receive the fourth night free. Other packages at the resort include the "Dinner Out" special, which includes two nights' accommodations for two, breakfast, and a $30 dinner voucher to be used at certain local restaurants all for $244. Meanwhile, the "Harbor Cruise" package includes two nights' lodging, breakfast daily, a $30 dinner voucher, and two harbor-cruise tickets for $268. Resort amenities include air-conditioned rooms, private baths, cable TV, a heated outdoor pool, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, miniature golf, and a barbecue area. Rates also cover the use of canoes, kayaks, and rowboats. The catch: the offer is only good during the following time periods: May 9-June 19, September 7-30, 2008; add $30 per room from June 20-July 2; and $60 per room July 3-August 23.
