Whenever Las Vegas is mentioned, I think of newlyweds celebrating their honeymoon. Other times, the idea of adults just going out there to do adult things crosses my mind. The point is, anytime I hear someone speaking about Las Vegas, the first thing that comes to mind is it is an "adults only" destination. The truth is, Las Vegas has adult attractions as well as children's attractions. Let's take a look at some of the attractions that Las Vegas offers that can be appealing to families planning a trip there:

Family Friendly Vegas Shows:

Blue Man Group at the Venetian Hotel Enjoy this theatrical performance by the internationally known Blue Man Group performing in the Venetian Hotel. These are the guys you may have seen in the Intel Processor Chip commercials. Reservations are recommended and children must be at least six years old.

Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Hotel Come and celebrate the return of King Arthur's son, Christopher, in King Arthur's arena. Watch as the rulers of Europe gather around for a banquet and demonstrate their skills in the knights' competition. Then see how the king reacts when Modred, the evil fire wizard, invades the festivities.

Havana Night Show at The Stardust Theater, Stardust Hotel Become part of Cuban culture in this interactive production. You'll be told the history and heritage of the Latin culture through songs. The show is brought to life with 32 dancers and a 13-piece band. You're invited to sing along too. Children must be five years old or older.

Attractions:

Circus Acts at Circus-Circus. Performances from people from all over the world take place in the world's largest permanent circus. The shows are free and performances are twice daily beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at midnight.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay Hotel This aquarium, unlike any other, is home to more than 1,200 different species, which includes 16 different species of sharks, tropical and fresh water fish, reptiles, marine invertebrates and rays. See dangerous and atypical animals and fish from tropical waters around the world.

High Roller at the Stratosphere Hotel The world's highest roller coaster. Need I say more?

Kid Friendly Hotels

Sahara Hotel

Sunset Station Hotel and Casino Kids 12 and under stay FREE Childcare available

Flamingo Hotel and Casino Kids 12 and under stay free

Texas Station Children 17 and under stay FREE Childcare available

Although this is a partial list of the available attractions in Las Vegas, it was created to help influence your decision if you weren't so sure whether Las Vegas was for adults only or not. With a little research, you will find something there worth getting into.
