Ready or not fall is on its way. While most of us are still enjoying dips in the pool, sipping tropical libations, and soaking up the sun savvy travelers are scoping out fall deals to view the autumnal foliage. If you're growing tired of leaf peeping from the car then why not change things up this year?

Fall cruises to Canada and New England abound right now and by booking early you can save hundreds of dollars on your tour. Take a look at these bargain sailings that coincide with the traditional peaks of fall color in the region - from the end of September through mid-October:

ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Spend October on the high seas without letting your budget go overboard. Royal Caribbean is offering a 7-night cruise with departures on October 4 or October 11, 2008. Your voyage will begin in Boston and take you to Maine's Portland and Bar Harbor, followed by St. John, New Brunswick, and Halifax in Nova Scotia. The cruise includes two days at sea before returning to Massachusetts. Inside cabins are priced at a low $649.

NORWEGIAN

If you have 10 days to spare you can take Norwegian Cruise Line's tour of Canada. The fall sojourn departs September 28, 2008 from New York and includes five ports of call. On the itinerary are Boston, Halifax, Quebec City, Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia's Sydney. If you book now you can save more than 50% off rack rates. Inside cabins are priced at just $849, down from the normally priced $1,759.

HOLLAND AMERICA

If you have always dreamed of cruising in style on board one of the most luxurious ships afloat this next voyage might be just the ticket you are looking for. Holland America's Eurodam voyage departs Quebec City on October 1, 2008 and makes stops in Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. The itinerary also includes ports of call in Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York. After taking in the fall colors, the cruise continues down the Atlantic Coast where you'll disembark in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Interior rooms on this fall odyssey have been reduced to just $1,899 - that's a 17% savings off rack rates.
