Summer LEGO Mania

My 8-year-old is a LEGO Friends fanatic. My dishwasher is not. I know this because of the horrible sounds it’s been making since swallowing one of the tiny plastic bricks meant to stabilize the slide on my daughter’s Heartlake City Pool set. I’m this close to tossing out the rest of the set and booking a trip to New York City.  That’s where Nathan Sawaya’s massive LEGO display is being showcased for kids of all ages to enjoy.  Perhaps, immersing my child in another LEGO lover’s colorful brick designs will take her mind off her mother’s moratorium on LEGO play. … Continue reading

Early Summer Deals at Disneyland

Summer might not be officially here yet, but for all purposes it is. That means Disneyland’s finally updated its special offers page to include new deals for the summer. Southern California residents/Disneyland annual pass holders make out the best, but there are still tempting deals for anyone looking to make a Disneyland trip in the next few months. Any Southern California residents out there? You’ve probably all been to Disneyland before, but I highly recommend going in the next week. Purchase a 2-Day 1-Park per-day ticket between now and June 1, and that ticket will only cost you $99. The … Continue reading

There are some great deals out there that can help all of us to trim down and stay fit and healthy. Do you like string cheese? Maybe your kids think that string cheese is an excellent snack. Summer Disneyland Deals

For the most part the Disney Parks post their special offers on the relevant dedicated pages, which I’ve examined here for you before. Occasionally Disney has other promotions going on that may or may not make it onto the Special Offers page, and today I’m going to cover those. Over the past two weeks the official Disney Parks blog has announced a variety of summertime Disneyland deals, and not all of them are viewable on the park’s Special Offers site. One is very similar to a deal I covered last time: if you book a Disneyland vacation by this Friday, … Continue reading

Disney Deals Abroad

Just as the domestic Disney parks periodically update and change their special offers page, so do the international Disney parks. It’s time to take a look at the summer deals for Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. Hong Kong Disneyland has some special hotel and ticket packages, just like Disney World and Disneyland, but the deals don’t quite work the way that they do for the domestic parks. You don’t have to make your reservations by a certain date for a particular time; these packages are simply on offer from now until July 15. Four options are available. The first … Continue reading
