My 3-year-old loves Dora the Explorer and if she were a bit older she would be a shoe-in for the following travel contest. (Spoken like a true biased mother.

by Michele Cheplic

All this week I have been focusing on the upcoming spring break vacation season (after all, Easter is just two months away). Typically, it's a time when parents take advantage of their children's break from classes and head off on a family adventure.

Easter is just two months away, which means many parents are already making plans for their children's spring break from school. Do you have your family's holiday trip finalized yet? If you answered no, perhaps this blog can help.

I just received an email from my friend who wanted to brag about (I mean share the good news) that her family's spring break vacation plans to California are now complete. They don't depart on their trip for another two months, but she's delighted nonetheless. I don't blame her.

I was going to title this blog "A Trip To The Strawberry Farm---A Parent's Survival Guide," but I didn't want to send the wrong message. Yesterday my 3-year-old daughter and I finished off the last two pieces of a very tasty strawberry rhubarb pie.
