Cancun Vacation - Pirate Dinner Cruise

Let the adventures begin as you join Captain Hook and his swashbuckling crew aboard an authentic 18th century Spanish galleon replica. The high seas adventure begins with the entertaining adventures of past pirate exploits and Captain Hook's dread enemy Mundaka. The crew relates the hilarious tales in both Spanish and English.

After dinner the ruthless pirate Mundaka and his crew draw alongside and the fight begins. Swords are drawn and sparks fly as Captain Hook rescues his bride from the clutches of Mundaka. All the while the passengers wave their flags and cheer the brave captain on.

The evening ends with the crew leading the passengers in a variety of dances. We thoroughly enjoyed the pirate cruise, although I believe we were the only ones, besides the crew, not drinking.

What about children? There are activities for children including dancing and a treasure hunt led by one of the crew. Personally I would leave children at the resort, and make it a parent's night out, unless you don't mind your children seeing people who have consumed too much alcohol.

When does the cruise start? The cruise beings boarding at 6:30pm and arrives back at 10pm. The ship sails between Isla Mujeras and Cancun where the water is calmer. Before leaving dock, you can purchase pirate gear like swords or hats or have one of the crew make you into a true pirate by adding a beard or scar.

How much does it cost? The cost includes the cruise, dinner, and all the alcohol you want, and is about $70 per person.

For dinner you can choose steak, lobster, or a combination. The meal also includes a buffet with chicken, salads, rice, baked potato, and rolls. Dessert is an apple tart. (Lobster costs an additional $10.)
